One gamer has recreated miniature versions of every wearable mask fromThe Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Maskand the results are impressive, to say the least. With the hype surroundingThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, some creative gamers have been spurred to makefan art based on classicZeldagamesin the franchise.
As the name ofMajora’s Maskimplies, masks play a significant part in the Nintendo 64 game. In fact, thestory revolves around a Skull Kidwho attempts to destroy the world after falling under the control of Majora’s Mask. However, this is not the only mask featured in the game, as there are 24 other ones that Link can wear throughout his journey to save Termina. In addition, these wearable items can impact gameplay.

These impressive masks fromMajora’s Maskwere recently showcased on Reddit in fan art made by a user known as kzaf. According to the Reddit user, they wanted to show some love to the Nintendo 64 title by making all 24 wearable masks in real life. In an image shared by the creator, the comprehensive collection of masks based onMajora’s Maskcould be seen lined up on a wooden surface. Despite their apparent tiny size, each featured a high level of detail, making them instantly distinguishable.
Just a few of the masks displayed in the picture included the Blast Mask, Bunny Hood, and Mask of Truth. Furthermore, kzaf created miniature versions of theDeku Mask, Goron Mask, and Zora Mask, three transformation masks inMajora’s Mask. According to the creator, they made these masks using air dry white clay and acrylic paint. While the titular Majora’s Mask worn by Skull Kid was not part of the collection, kzaf revealed they had plans to make it in the future.
Unsurprisingly, these masks based onMajora’s Maskcaught the attention of numerousmembers ofThe Legend of Zeldacommunityon Reddit. While kzaf only posted the artwork recently, it has already gained the approval of many fans, with over 2.7K upvotes to show for it. In the comment section, numerous gamers talked about how seeing this fan art gave them a healthy dose of nostalgia for the classic game. In addition to compliments from fans, kzaf revealed that they used the 3DS designs of the masks, clearing up some confusion in regard to Garo’s Mask, which had an altered appearance in the remake.
It will be interesting to see what other creationsZeldafans make as therelease ofTears of the Kingdomgets nearer. If new fan art looks anywhere close to the quality of these masks based onMajora’s Mask, they are likely to impress.
